Aroma is nice and sweet, packed with hops, as well as bready malts and cereal grains. This is a very tasty beer. Probably not one I’d put at the top of my list, but I could absolutely see this becoming a ’regular’ for me. Extremely drinkable, despite its ABV and the large amount of hops. There’s also a great earthy yeastiness to counter the sweetness that comes with the style. I wouldn’t blink before I brought a case of this to a gathering. snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA

Pours clear copper with a thick, frothy beige head. Aroma is citrus and floral hops and cotton candy, mostly hops in the taste. Sweet citrus hop finish. jeff789 (411), Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Pours a clear copper/amber with a thin white head and very nice lacing... Aroma of citrus, pine, alcohol, sweet tropical fruits, very aromatic.... Taste of immediate citrus/tropical fruit(mango? papaya?) hops, some sweet malts, but not overwhelming, just enough... This beer defines balanced in the realm of DIPA’s, where the malts cut the hops just enough... The body/finish almost has a refreshing quality, the beer almost asks you to take another sip immediately, AWESOME... This should be ranked higher... crackedmachine (89), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 24, 2009 More refreshing than would be expected from a beer with this much alcohol. Balanced, drinkable...pleasant but not overwhelming hop aroma, medium body, somewhat bitter with a really nice hop flavor. This is delicious, well done, and not at all over the top. (I like over the top, but quaffable is good, too.) HighWine (165), , California, USA

Good lacing. Sweet, citrus nose. Very drinkable with mild malt and hop flavor. Very smooth on the palate. You would never know this beer is 8.7% ABV. jzzbassman (849), New Albany, Mississippi, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 15, 2009 Can split with sixfootsix. Pours a clear burnt orange with fair light tan ring of head. Near perfect nose of sweet pine and citrus hops. Flavor is not quite as nice as the aroma, a little vinous, sticky hops, and a slight metallic twinge, but I can’t tell if that’s just my brain knowing that it is from a can. A little thin on body and semi-cloying on the palate, but an excellent IPA none the less! I love that they can good beers! sixfootsix (13), Franklin, Tennessee, USA
