Location: 12 oz can from State Line, 8/27/09

Aroma: Nose is hoppy, floral, wood, fruit, resin
Appearance: Hazy orange-amber, thin off-white head, spotty lacing
Flavor: Nice hoppy flavor, sweet caramel malts, pretty well balanced
Palate: Long finish, medium body, creamy mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This is a pretty tasty beer, definitely would make a great tailgate beer, you don’t often find beers this good and this drinkable in a can. Not quite as good as their Impy Stout, but so drinkable that I would choose this one right along with their Dale’s Pale as a top tailgate/camping can beer.

a very hoppy aroma with a pleasent aftertaste that reminds me of a good ipa. good drinkabilty with plenty of flavors from the front to the back of the palate. even drinkers who do not enjoy ipa’s would probally enjoy this beer. and its pretty good from being served right out of the can.

(can). Cloudy, reddish orange color. Medium off white head which is mostly diminishing. Strong hop aroma with moderate alcohol. Spicy hop flavor. Avg duration. Smooth, light bitter finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Spare lacing.

From the Can at the Oskar Blues Brewery, Longmont 08/10/2008 Very hoppy aroma. Golden coloured and hoppy with a little dryness in a crisp and bitter malt finish.

On tap at RnH. Pours deep golden copper brown. Taste is full flavored.. deep floral hop, caramel and malt backbone. Interesting body, on the thicker side and somewhat oily. Would like to revisit this again..

Can. Poured a deep amber color with a dense orange head. Lots of caramel and earthy, floral hops in the nose. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and ample carbonation. Flavor is loaded with hop flavors and caramel, I also got a slight vegetal note which wasn’t pleasent. Overall very good beer.

can pour, dark golden/light amber with medium light tan head and large carbonation noted, wonderful floral hop aroma like smelling a pack of hops with a slighter sweet smell, beautifully balanced flavors with big hop flavors nice malt sweetness and almost zero hop bitters, a "hop bittering fakeout" if you will, tastes so good should have flashing lights on it!

12oz can poured into a goblet. Pours a reddish copper brown with a nice white head. Lots of lacing, good carbonation. Aroma is heaven. it’s full of hops and also a great thick caramel malty scent. Taste is mostly floral hops with a light bitter finish. You also get some caramel, and malt but they’re not as pronounced as the smell would leave you to believe. Alcohol is very well hidden. The only thing keeping this beer from being perfect is that it’s not quite as heavy and thick as I was looking for. A little lighter than most double ipas.
