Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, some roast, and a bit of smoke as well. Taste of sweet toffee, caramel, nuts, chocolate, and light roasted malts as well. BREWMUSKCLES (1084), New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 27, 2007 Can: Ruby brown, lots of fine sediment suspended about, moderate frothy beige head, fairly sticky lacing. Roasted malt nose, slightly earty, seems sweet. Sweet to start, even a bit dry, roasty, pale chocolate malts, even a smidgen of Anise. Seems like Chub Light. Moderate body and mouthfeel. Soft roasted malt finish, a bit of earth as well. Fairly good stuff... I would seek this out again. Thanks for sharing mattbob!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Grain, bread, hops in the aroma on this brown pour. It leaves nice white lacing. Bready malt mixed with citrus hops make for a nice drink with a smooth finish. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Can. Simple brown pour, bulbous head, thins quickly. Solid aroma of nutty malts, caramel, toffee, toasted grains, brown sugar and very restrained hops. Moderate diacetyl noted is nothing bothersome. Flavor is simple and slightly rustic, earthy grains mixed with nuts and sugars. Very light mouthfeel. Finishes sweet with toffee and on a very sharp, brief note. Highly quaffable, a session brown I’d be happy to partake in again. PilsnerPeter (2629), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Cask conditioned at Hop Devil: Nice nut brown pour with an amber hue in the light, topped by a thick and stable tan creamy head. Earthy and dirty aroma, but appetizing. Peat-like with evident lemony hops. The body was thinner than I expected, especially considering the aroma. The flavor comes through nicely with lots of roasty caramel hints, an almondy sweetness and a lemony hop bite in the finish. A decent Brown Ale. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
