| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 16, 2009 Growler - pours a clear light gold, with a soapy, short-lived head - nose of lemon, honey, grass, herbal/floral hops - this is light and drinkable, which a good pils should be, but it lacks the balance and complexity of the great examples of the style - this is mostly honey-sweet, with light hints of grain, and a bit of grassy hops, but not enough to balance the sweetness, nor to add the crisp bite you’d want from the style - in fact, the finish is lingering honey sweetness and buttery/diacetyl flavors - kind of a train wreck of a pils - stick to the big beers, boys.
