Flavor is a nice, crisp bready flavor with some hop bitterness. Some diactyl in the flavor - not enough to ruin it, but enough to make its presence known. joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 12, 2009 I’m not an Oskar Blues expert but from what I’ve tasted, this one doesn’t measure up, not even by a long shot. No spicy, hoppy crispness. Taste a lot like butter. Disappointing to say the least. kiefdog (1635), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | May 11, 2009 Enjoyed in a mug from the 12 oz can. To be honest, I was really excited to try this one. I have enjoyed all of the other widely-distributed Oskar Blues products, and have absolutely loved all of them. However, I was, to say the least, extremely disappointed by this one. It pours a crystal clear pale golden color...no problems there. However, issues start with the nose. Instead of notes of German or Czech noble hops; perhaps done in an "over-the-top" way as with the rest of the O.B. products, this smells nothing like hops. I got notes of stale pilsner malt. Little improves in terms of flavor. Instead of the crisp pilsner malt note and dry backbone one expects in a a great pils, you get the sense that this is simply a dressed up Budweiser. Also, there were very detectable notes of DMS; entirely unacceptable in a production beer. What a shame. dchmela (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA
