Commercial Description:
Our first lager produced with the 20 bbl brewhouse. This pilsner is a clear golden color. Four additions of Saaz hops lend a spicy-floral hop component.

12oz can from Whole Foods. Pours clear golden with thin white head. Flavor is a nice, crisp bready flavor with some hop bitterness. Some diactyl in the flavor - not enough to ruin it, but enough to make its presence known.

I’m not an Oskar Blues expert but from what I’ve tasted, this one doesn’t measure up, not even by a long shot. No spicy, hoppy crispness. Taste a lot like butter. Disappointing to say the least.

12oz can courtesy of Tampa Brew. Pours a clear dark golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and somewhat floral with notes of sour malt, grass, hay, some honey and spice. Flavor is sweet and lightly floral with notes of honey, spice, floral hops, fruity and flowery esters. Generally light body with a light floral hop finish.

Enjoyed in a mug from the 12 oz can. To be honest, I was really excited to try this one. I have enjoyed all of the other widely-distributed Oskar Blues products, and have absolutely loved all of them. However, I was, to say the least, extremely disappointed by this one. It pours a crystal clear pale golden color...no problems there. However, issues start with the nose. Instead of notes of German or Czech noble hops; perhaps done in an "over-the-top" way as with the rest of the O.B. products, this smells nothing like hops. I got notes of stale pilsner malt. Little improves in terms of flavor. Instead of the crisp pilsner malt note and dry backbone one expects in a a great pils, you get the sense that this is simply a dressed up Budweiser. Also, there were very detectable notes of DMS; entirely unacceptable in a production beer. What a shame.

Pours a light gold with a thick white head.Creamy malt aroma with a nice hop balance. Smooth crisp malt body and a pronounced hop bitterness. Not my favorite style, but this is a tasty lawnmower beer.

Can from lb4lb. Thanks dude. Pours yellow with a decent fizzy head. Aroma is malt, grainy and has a grassy thing too in there. Flavor is sweet malt and earthy hops. Decent beer but not my thing.
