| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 27, 2009 I like another pilsener? Must be because this one is a "Gold Metal Winner". Pours yellow, of course. Flavor is packing a grainy and hoppy punch. Flavors are crisp, clean and strong, without making the beer too strong to drink on a hot summer day. This might have just shot to the top of the list for the perfect beer for yardwork. Light and full flavored. Good job, Oskar Blues. tronraner (1933), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Can at the ’09 Fish Fry. Pours light yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is flour, malt, and hay. The flavor is hay, mild bitterness, and some dry bread flour. Not nearly as adventurous as I was expecting, but it’s a fair enough Pilsener nonetheless. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 26, 2009 A golden color with a white head. A grassy lemon aroma on this one. The flavor is rather malty with some lemons and a slightly bitter finish. Overall drinkable but Oskar Blues does alot better than this. smcolw (362), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Large bubbled head, but it recedes slowly and leaves some spotty lace. Crystal clear with a yellowish-straw color.
Grainy aroma of fresh mowed hay. Lacking the flowery hop that I have come to expect from a Czech Pils.
A soft beer in terms of mouthfeel. This has a lot of the elements of an inexpensive macro: grainy, a relatively harsh aftertaste that doesn’t really feature much hops. I like the texture--a bit richer than most pilsners. T2Tool (352), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Poured from a 12-oz can into a pilsner glass. This was a nice golden color with great clarity and a nice fluffy white head. A nice malty aroma and light floral hops. Biscuit malt taste, spicy hops and a nice bitterness on the finish. cheapdark (2026), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Woooo, beer in a can, right up my alley. Smells a little better than cheap pale american ubiquitous lager but it does look the same. First taste is pilsner sharp bite, short but prodding. Slightly below average carbonation. Bitter hop bite lingers and builds in the back of the throat. Mind you, not an ale bite, a lager pilsner bite. Alky becomes more apparent as the session continues. Overall, neeeds a few more manners for a lager lover. Sawz away! mmmbeer (762), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 24, 2009 12 oz. can served in flute- poured transparent light golden color, medium carbonation, frothy and foamy white head formed and tried it’s best to lace along the edge of the glass. Aroma a little on the weak side of hops, cut grass that just got wet from a hard rain, and corn. Hits the mouth with a light body, malt is somewhat there but I can easily detect corn, slight cream note in the middle, finish is crisp. Not bad, but I have other choices that are better for a hot day to slam about "a good dozen" for less money expense. ScottyP (314), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Purchased can from Woody’s in Franklin. Pours a clear yellow with moderate white head. Aroma of yeast, grass, definitely some sweet white corn. Flavor is still corn, slight spice, slight hops. Light body. Not great for Oskar Blues, but its a better than your everday domestic Pils. I could definitely session this on a hot TN day.
