Earth and caramel with pils notes up front, a thin bitterness and a hint of citrus. Pepper spice and a spicy hop nose. Crisp spicy pils notes with a thin body and some moderate carbonation. Good brew for a style i could care less about. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 9, 2009 12 oz. can. Pours golden with a medium lived white head that leaves nice lacing. Smell is malty grains, a hint of earthy hops, and a touch of butteriness. Taste is creamy and malty up front with a hint of butteriness, which is followed by a moderate and crisp bitterness. Somewhat of a spicy hop finish. Surprisingly full bodied with a normal carbonation level. Pretty solid, and very drinkable, I thought. SudsMcDuff (1703), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Updated: May 31, 2009first off, is this really a pils, NO, its a pale lager, pretty corn filled with some dusty cardboard + honey ... nasty bitterness with a weird second grade sweetness... this has some nice features but this in the world of microbrew beer is piss... i can think of at least 10 pils of the top of my head that are miles ahead.. more like a malt liquor... thanks oskar, i will now go cut myself... . no crispiness, at all, which a pils has to have... actually pretty gross .. . estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Diacetyl and DMS, the two Ds. Not a good combination for a pilsner. If this was brewed by some German company, I’m sure that the score would be a half-point lower. Hard to believe that this scores barely below Budvar on this site. efrumtheidiot (190), Maryland, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 9, 2009 12oz can. pours a clear golden amber with a puffy white head. aroma is grassy, light citrus, bread. taste is as expected from the aroma; bready, grassy, malty. mouthfeel is wet and fluffy, with pretty sufficient prickly carbonation. lingering bitter flavor leaves the tongue a bit numbed. also a lingering dust flavor. now i may be a bit biased, as i used to live in the czech republic (so i feel it’s safe to say i know my pilseners). i think this was a near miss. a worthy attempt, though, this beer just has too much americanization (ie, a slap in the mouth of bitter hops). i’m also getting just a tad too much of this malt-liquoresque numbing sensation. overall a good session brew, but not the best from oscar blues. angrypirate06 (781), Texas, USA

Pours a clear yellow body with a large foamy head. Nice buttery aroma, bits of hay, spice, and malt. Taste is butter, bread, and a bit of spice. Kinda fizzy mouthfeel though. Overall, a pretty good pils. RCL (1486), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2009 hazy pale yellow, thin rocky white head. Full malt aromas, laced with sulfur and spicy noble hops, earthy and smooth. sweet malt flavors, cut hay to a sharp hop bite that finishes with a mild woodsy tang. kinda like a B/M/C if it had balls. you know this can will be in my cooler come camping season!
