Apr 7, 2009 Can from Captain Cougar. Thanks again Tom! Golden color with a fluffy white head. Aromas of grain and noble hop - a little extra spice for a pils. Near medium body with creamy/frothy carbonation. Good feel. Flavor is a bit biscuit with lots of hop spice - even a bit peppery. Finishes well towards dry. A very good drink, but not so bitter as the standards. Makes a nice change. LIke it a lot.

Pours a crystal clear pale golden yellow, thin fizzy white head that sticks around a bit. Crisp sharp bready aroma with some spicy hop bite. Flavor shows good balance, with a clean spicy hop bite on the front followed by dry, semi-sweet bready malt. Clean and light on the palate with a crisp dry finish. Solid pilsner.

Apr 4, 2009 Can. Pours golden yellow with a white head. The aroma is on the light side, hint of malt and hops but not much else. The flavor has sweet toffee like malt and hoppy hints. Easy drinking but very average.

Apr 4, 2009 I am not, have never been, and never will be a fan of pilsner. This one is not overly horrible, and that’s probably only because it is made by Oskar Blues, quite possibly the best brewer in America. This loses points on appearance: bright yellow with a white head, no different than any macrobrew. It also loses points on the all but non-existent aroma. Although it only has 5.3%, there is an odd bite of alcohol in the beginning of the sip. Grassy with a bitter finish. I don’t like pilsners, and this one loses points on aroma and appearance, yet I still give it a 2.9 out of 5.

Apr 4, 2009 Pours extremely clear yellow into the glass with a small white head. Aroma is skunky. Flavor is where this beer misses for me. An extremely buttery taste on the tongue. Disappointed with this one

Apr 3, 2009 Picked this up in Atlanta. Pale yellow. Slightly grassy hop aroma. Light, sweet malts with a mild, hay and grass accented floral hop finish. Light and easy drinking. Enjoyable brew, probably better than this score indicates.

Apr 3, 2009 This pils pours a bright yellow in color with a nice head that faded fast. On the nose you get wheat aromas w slight fruit. Flavor is a bit of a let down. Good fruit and very mildly hopped. I love everything that Oskar Blues brews, or at least thought i did until i tried this. Skip this and have a Scrimshaw or a Prima Pils!!!
