Nose of lightly sweet, crackery malts and peppery, spicy hops with a light floral touch. Clear light straw yellow color with a fine, slight head and some nice lacing. Flavor is also well balanced between the gentle malt character and the somewhat more apparent hops, with a very light sugary sweetness in the background, mixing with the grassy, herbal, spicy hop flavors and light bitterness. Finishes very clean and crisp. Semi-dry and not overly carbonated on the palate, body is light-medium. Good Pils. tarheels86 (819), Washington DC, USA

Deep yellow pour with a fairly large white head that settles down quickly. Grainy, spicy Saaz aroma. Taste is a little overcarbonated but full of earthy hops, white pepper. Dry finish. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 1, 2009 THOUGHTS: One of the best beer names ever. Not a big fan of the sty, but this was one of the best pilseners I’ve ever had.
TECHNICAL: Can. Poured a light to medium, clear yellow with an average to large, sudsy, off-white head that left just a hint of lacing. The aroma was moderate grain, light grassy and spicy hops. The initial flavor was sweet and sour; while the finish was bitter and sour with an average duration. There was grainy malt and grassy hops. The light to medium body was slightly syrupy then dry with fizzy carbonation and a slightly metallic finish. SuzyGreenberg (1411), Seattle, Washington, USA

Tastes more like a pale ale almost, but is certainly a very tasty brew. GoBlue (102), Falls Church, Virginia, USA
