Aug 30, 2009 Can pours a crystal clear goldenrod body with a large vanilla head. Spicy and grassy hop aroma. Taste has a floral and spicy hop bitterness that is balanced by biscuity malt that has a hint of honey sweetness. One of the better American brewed pilsners I’ve run across.

Aug 29, 2009 can. nice initial pils head with spritzy carbonation. nice color. crisp although slightly distracting level of hops and fiinish not quite as dry as I’d like. But very good.

Aug 29, 2009 Pours slightly coludy for a pilnser beer. Small white head, Saaz hops on the nose does not overpower the the Pilsner malt. A good attempt at the Czech Pils stlye, a little on the thin side of the style, woth $8.99 a 6/pk

Aug 27, 2009 Can. Earthy bitterness in the nose with a spritz of citrus. Clear golden pour with slow-moving, long-lasting carbonation and a large, clinging frothy white head. Watery body is malt-forward and smooth, taste just dripping with woody, bready Saaz, with the grassier and floral components off to the side. Mildly bittersweet with a bit of spice kicking up dust at the back. Simple, straightforward malt pillow of a beer (which is to say, an achievement for an American pils).

Aug 26, 2009 Excited about this new release from Oskar Blues. They make some fantastic beers. Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. Looks like liquid gold, very inviting. Aroma is soft with breadiness, light hops, and honey. Drinks very smooth and refreshing. Notes of honey, biscuit, and light hops. A great beer for a summer day. Very well balanced and recommended. Not bad at all.

8/24/2009: Oskar Blues Mama’s Little Yella Pils... Aroma: Appearance: Opaque shiny gold color with a frothy slightly off-white head; sporadic lacing. Flavor: Good balance of of Pils malt and spicy and grassy hops, mild to moderate bitterness; slightly sweeter (slightly reminiscent of honey comb) than most Pils and not quite as crisp in the finish, but still really good. Palate: Medium-bodied, very smooth, soft mouthfeel, filling. Overall: I like it. This is a Pils that anybody could drink and enjoy... from a can!
