Ernest (4481), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 6, 2007 Draught. Head is fully diminishing. Body is medium to dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (malt syrup, caramel, roasted grain), with a note of diacetyl. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Disappointing, but they can’t all be winners I suppose. Very syrupy, raw, sweet...almost seemed unfinished. I literally could not finish a half pint, and I love the style.
