Sweet, light bitter, chocolate, licorice, coffee, roasted, soft mouthfeel. At first I thought it has a nice complexity and wonderful mouthfeel. But halfway the glass I found it too sweet and flat. So I downgraded my scores but a 3.8 is still a very nice beer. Thanks Yngwie! JPDIPSO (4935), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2004 Clear copper color with a taller tan head with lines of lace as it you imbibe and it settles. Specialty malt house aromas with caramel, mild coffee and chocolate and a touch of peat. Smooth and relaxing feel, perhaps a touch thin. 8% not found in this one. Flavors follow the aromas quite well. Long linger of lightly roasted malt. Nice malty brew. Could use a touch more peat, but what should one expect from a can ;). Thanks SecretSantaScott ala Tom. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 23, 2005 This may be the best beer Ive had out of a can. How strange. A brownish/black apperance with a moderate head. Lots of nuts and dark fruit in the aroma. The peats are shining through and it bends itself almost sticky sweet. The flavor is full of chocolate, candi sugar, almonds, and raisins. I couldnt drink many of these but at 8% thats probably a good thing. joeyplush (337), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of dark roasted malt, resins, and alcohol. Flavor is dominated by sweet malt, followed by roasted malt, and there is a chest and stomach warming alcohol. Great character overall to this beer - very enjoyable. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
