Commercial Description:
Ten FIDY's huge-but-comforting flavors hide a hefty 10.0% and 98IBU. This version is aged in whiskey barrels from Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey (Denver, CO) to create an even trippier extreme beer.

Editor's Note: The brewery has had the ABV of the regular Ten FIDY tested at a lab, which came out to 9.4%. This version is thus set to that value for consistency, but may not be exactly identical.

Coles Rare Beer Festival , Appearance: mocha darkness with creamy brown fell. Good handsome appearance. 4+ Aroma: very good ,roast like feel . alcohol , slightly smoky. Solid in short . Lighter feel of whiskey barrel. Flavor/Palate: medium-full bodied. Mocha coffee up front-central. Clean alcohol notes followed with more of mocha ending. Good long lasting roasty hints. Solid whiskey accented dark strong ale.

Big bourbon aroma and taste blending with IS, enjoyed at Coles Rare beerfest. Lovely, yet felt natural carbonation. Dark colour, very drinkable.

Draft @ Cole’s. Black, minimal brown head. nose is whiskey, cherry, vanilla. Flavor is whiskey, lots of barrely cherry & vanilla, alcohol, rich malt, toffee. Some hop becomes apparent in the finish.

Draft, at Cole’s in Buffalo, NY. Pours near black with a thin tan head. Roasted malt aroma with coffee and hints of whiskey. The flavor has a beautiful milk chocolate sweetness, roasted malts and lingering notes of bourbon. Very nice, very drinkable.

Draft at EBF. I preferred this over the regular ten fidy, the roasty coffee and some of the hop bitterness has been replaced by a bigger whiskey bite. Good stuff.

Stranahan whiskey barrel draft at the Midway. I was way more blown away with the original but this one is still pretty tasty. The oak aging gives an added dimension but one big on the whiskey and alcohol. Nice creamy texture and bittersweet chocolate flavors remind me of the original. Roasted malt aroma and a little thinned out from the original. Pretty different, more complex, and about as good as the original.
