I would have just assumed drink the whole thing from the can, but decided I had to see what it looked like...pours with an enormous purple-brown, shaving cream lather head that leaves a thick laces 1.5 inches up the side of the glass. Black...perhaps one of 2 or 3 beers that has close to zero transparency, nothing gets through this abyss...it is mesmerizing how incredibly dark the body is. Luscious, creamy palate with tingly bubbles delivering subtle oily hop notes to the back of the tongue that compliment the sweet raisins, dark brown sugar/molasses and bittersweet milk chocolate flavours the continually bombard the senses. The flavours seem to blend together a bit near the end, but I think that may palate has just been abused by the relentless malty goodness that is 10w-50. Seemingly a gimmick-this beer, this imperial stout in a can, is anything but, this is greatly made stout and the well crafted malts will speak for themselves if you dare open one. Cheers! Aromas of toasted malts, bread and light alcohol. The flavor found milk chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Full body with a creamy texture. Sweet throughout yet a light roast aftertaste. Very nice! | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 12, 2009 Can via trade with Hellbilly. So, for whatever reason, I am just not getting my hands on this one. Interesting to see it pour from a can, I’ll say. Pours viscous and black with a dark orangey brown head. Nose is sweet, roasted grain, chocolate and a distinct floral hop note that comes through. Mild molasses and anise notes as well. On taste, supremely well hopped with it being hop forward and bitter, but not really acrid. Very well constructed and layered flavors. Some cocoa and coffee come through in the middle as well. Nice roasty finish that lasts. This is a super drinkable Imperial Stout and reminds me a ton of Storm King. I’ll need to get me more of this one, would love to try it with cherries... grimreeser (797), Minnesota, USA

If you can call it a pour. Its more like it slides out of the can. 1.5 finger cappuccino colored head. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. And then you taste it. My God you taste it. Incredible mouthfeel. Sweet taste to start, which melts into a lasting, bitter chocolate and coffee aftertaste. And again, my God does it linger. This beer is a dessert.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2009 12 oz. can. Pours jet black with no head, just a coffee colored ring around the edge of the glass. This stuff pours like oil. On the nose I sense raisin, coffee, tobacco, a little grape, and caramel. Low carbonation with a very oily mouthfeel. Raisin, prune, sugar, and alcohol can all be found on the palate. I didn’t find as much malt as the description would indicate. A very chewy brew. Reminds me of chewing tobacco. The flavor is different than most imperial stouts and is well constructed. Given the alcohol content, it is very well hidden. Still, this is a beer I would probably on have one of in a session. Very powerful stuff. plovmand (1723), Helsinge, Denmark
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Can. The body is opaque pitch black with a big creamy forever lasting brown head. Very inviting. Coffee, chocolate, hops, roasted malts, caramel and some liqourice in nose and flavour. As it heats up it gets better and better. Great creamy mouthfeel. Definately a beer I want to drink again and again.
