Commercial Description:
Oskar Blues has released a special draft-only seasonal beer for the winter months. Ten FIDY Imperial stout is a titanic wonder of a stout, immensely viscous, and loaded with neck-deep flavors of chocolate, malt, coffee, cocoa and oats. It’s the beer equivalent of decadently rich milkshake made with Whoppers malted-milk balls and Heaven’s best chocolate ice cream. Ten FIDY is about 10% ABV and is made with enormous amounts of two-row malts, chocolate malts, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops. Ten FIDY’s huge-but-comforting flavors hide a whopping 98 IBUs that are deftly tucked underneath the beer’s mountains of malty goodness.

Also affectionately known as Ten W FIDY (i.e., 10W-50).

Editor's Note: The brewery has had the ABV tested at a lab, which came out to 9.4%.

Canned, thanks to rickgordon. Black, with a dark brown head. One of the darker heads I have seen on a beer. Malty chocolate aroma, smoky, sometar, rather bitter hoppy feeling after a while. Roasted mat flavor, dry hoppy bitterness, chocolate, cocoa, mint, perfume, tar. Bitter chocolate finish.

pitch black with beautiful tan head. nose of sweet roasted malt. flavor is tremendous with large contributions from chocolate and roasted malt. the most interesting aspect is the huge hop component that at times really is present in the bitterness which is remarkable for a 9.4% ABV. As good as a Russian Imperial gets. I’ve recently had Hitachino IS and Dieu de Ciel’s Peche Mortel and although it is difficult to compare it is maybe slightly better than Hitachino, but not quite as good as Peche Morter

Can pours pitch black with a darck mocha colored head. Aromas of sweeet roasted malts with hints of chocolate. Flavor is of malts, caramel, with a decent alcohol bite. Finishes with bitter chocolate. Big thick stout.

Pours thick oily black with a mocha creamy head. Crazy aroma, molasses, creamy chocolate, coffee, porter like roast quality, some vanilla. Dark and roasty!!! Burnt coffee flavor, milky and dark chocolate. Good pine hop bite. Long roast coffee and dark chocolate finish. Super creamy body with some smooth bubbly carbonation. Becomes a little one-note after a while and pretty sugary. This is great... but with some cherries... or whiskey barrel it would be amazing!
