(Draught at the brewpub, 5 Nov 2009) Black colour with a thick, creamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with black coffee, dark chocolate and a dry finish with a generous cocoa bitterness. More than medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Perhaps lacking some punch, but still a tasty and very well balanced stout. Nice one.

En stout gjort på irsk vis og er tørr og middels bitter. En god ettersmak av kaffe og sjokolade. Velbalansert.

Draught at the brewpub Deep black body with a lightly brown, creamy head. Excellent looking stout. Strong coffee aroma which is ok, but not complex. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter flavour: somewhat watery mouthfeel. Not bad, but not complex at all.

Tap. Pitch black body with a nice creamy head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and fruity hops. Excellent creamy feel in the mouth, medium carbonation. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, dark choclate and fruity hops. Dry and smooth finish. One of their best beers.

Tap. Almost black body (very dark brown). Creamy beige head, medium sized and lasting. Roasted aroma, milk chocolate (creamy). Medium to heavy. Light roasted flavour, dry. A little watery palate. A light stout. Some bitterness in the finish. (Oslo mikrobryggeri, 09.05.08)

It has a very strong coffee aroma, very nice look. At first impresion taste more like a porter, very good bitter palate. It takes more than 10 minutes to pour, order another one while you are waiting!
