yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway May 1, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. It pours a slightly unclear, copper body with a small, beige head. The aroma and flavor both has the typical OMB house character. The aroma also has fruit and citrus, some tropical fruits, caramel and some roasted malt. Caramel, tropical fruits and some roasted malt in the flavor, finishing fruity and slightly metallic. Medium body with a pleasant level of carbonation. Really quaffable and well suited for the spring time. (080410)
Sigmund (1961), Hafrsfjord, Norway May 1, 2008 On tap at Oslo Mikrobryggeri. Reddish amber colour. Lovely aroma of caramel and butterscotch. Flavour of malts, tobacco, caramel and butterscotch. OKish. Gr0ve (1116), Oslo, Norway Apr 24, 2008 1/2 pint draught. Copper colour. Crystal clear. Small off-white head. Fruity and estery aroma first. Then rich and aromatic malty nose. High carbonation level. Lots of caramel malts. Caramelly flavours balanced by a sparkling mouthfeel. Some oxidized notes towards the back. Satisfying to drink. Very nice, but it has the characteristic twang from the specialty malts that they often use. garza (87), Caracas, Venezuela Apr 24, 2008 A very pleasant floral aroma. On the taste it comes sweet first, bitter then. Good palate. Good beer. Beer_2000 (1269), Kristiansand, Norway Apr 17, 2008 Draught @ OMB. Hazy reddish amber with a thin beige film of foam. Aroma is citrus fruity (grapefruit), sweet malty and yeast. Flavor is really refreshing, fruity, peaches, a hint of caramel and a nice balanced bitter finish. Relatively light body as expected from a spring beer. Unusually fruity flavor from a lager, and one of the more interesting beers from OMB.
