gws57 (951), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Mar 22, 2008 Updated: Mar 23, 2008 Found this one bottled at the brewery in Plover, Wisconsin. Opaque, dark brown pour, approaching black, with a lacy, tan head that disappeared almost immediately. Bitter and milk chocolate nose, a touch of alcohol warmth. Chocolate continues well into the flavor, along raisin, rum, and nutmeg. Very strong finish. This is a great beer.
phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 20, 2008 Pours a thick brownish black colour with a full sized semi sweet tan head. Very creamy mouthfeel, light carbonation, pleasent light chocolate flavors with hints of coffee beans and caramel. Aromas are pleasent also with roasted malt and nutty character. Finishes slightly dry. sunevdj (1346), Copenhagen, Denmark Apr 28, 2008 Bought the bottle at the brewery tasted it at DLD. Pours black with a yellow head. Quite bitter with aromas of coffee, malts and caramel. Slightly sour too. Medium to full bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. OSLO (590), Minnesota, USA Mar 1, 2008 [Bottle, thanks Skyview] Pours fairly dark brown with a tiny light tan head. Aroma is huge on milk chocolate with light apple also present. Taste is chocolate with a good amount of roasted malt, especially in the finish. Medium mouthfeel. Not a bad beer. badgerben (2990), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Feb 29, 2008 Thanks to Skyview! Black color with a thin head. Aroma and taste of granny smith and chocolate. It’s okay, but I think the infection is still there.
