Had this yesterday at a Star Liquor tasting from O’so. So good i picked up some more: Poured a clear amber colour with a nice sized white head. Biscuity and rich with fresh clean soft malted notes on the palate. aroma was pleasent as well, again, very fresh and delightful. Chewy apple notes, some spice and a little smoke near the finish. What a great beer, go out and get some O’so!

Bottled. Poured clear, crisp medium orange with a short, fuzzy cap of white head. The aroma picked up sour fruit and vinegary notes upfront with caramel beneath and some leafy accents.. smelled off. The flavor found like sourness and acidity that canceled out caramel and biscuity sweetness.. bitterness was light and citric.. sour citrus and toasted grains on the finish. Medium-bodied and unfortunately sour as mentioned on the palate.. this bottle just didn’t hold up.

Chill hazed dark amber color. Moderate taupe head. Light malt, grass, and grain in the aroma. Fairly thick in feel with a like acidity that thins it out in the end. Light pale malt and biscuit flavors in the front. Acidity kicks in early and wipes out many things. I sense a mild infection that overtake the toasty sweet malt and give me a sourdough rye. Think I need to try this in another forum.

On tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest 2009. Hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of mild toffee, grains and light fruit and nuts. Aroma of toffee, toasted pale malts and light fruits. Mildly sticky and not overly sweet, a slightly above average O’toberfest.
