Otter Creek 15th Anniversary IPA

bottle from kramer. effervescent hazed orange brown body with a creamy lemon tinted head. strong malt nose that is caramel, with a bread aroma. nice all around flavor that is a tad gritty. sweet candy corn and a nice bitter grass and grapefruit play tug of war here. some light marshamllow too. lingering caramel and grapefrutiu flavor. not as much hop bitterness as i usually see in an ipa, but it ain’t bad.

Pours a deep yellow color with a slight white head. Aroma is some what slightly hoppy, flaovr is uhhh well missing the hoppiness that i look for in ipas. blah not that great.

Dark red color, white head. Smell is grass and hoppy. Taste is similar. There isnt really much going on here, not something that I liked too much.

Bottle. Amber color. Well balanced, easy drinkable, but still a nice hop bite but it could hang around in the mouth longer.

Purchased a bomber for three bucks @ Joe Canal’s Marlton, NJ. Floral aroma, however bitterness is spicy and this IPA is heavy on the malts. Copper bodied with a strong head and lacing. Great value and you don’t have to be a hophead to enjoy.

i wasn’t sure if this beer had survived the massive SE PA power outage but it did and i’m glad. the color is fantastic--a nice amber-bronze hue. a mild floral bouquet. the taste is kind of malty for an ipa but there is some nice hop overtones that lead to a pleasant balance of flavor. i can do this up on the regular.

22 ounce bomber. Aroma is actually somewhat pleasant and a bit sweet, sugary, with plenty of piney and herbal notes. Rather aromatic. Not sure why people are docking this beer points for aroma. Mildly hazy orangey color with a touch of amber as well as some off-yellowish small head. Hoppy, tannin-like aroma with some graininess. Some piney and earthy hops are present. Finish is a bit bland, but I think this is a good IPA. Has a great malt and hops balance. Unlike many IPAs this ABV, it does not bludgeon the palate. The body is light, but the malt flavors are there.

Pours to a dark glowing amber body with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with light strawberries. Pretty boring. The flavor is sweet strawberry seeds and boring malts. The palate is light to moderate at best. Not what one would hope to call their 15th Anniversary brew.
