Commercial Description:
A Winter's Ale is craft brewed in the tradition of a mild scotch ale. The rich flavor blends a pleasantly sweet caramel maltiness with mild hops. Refreshing yet warming, it is a perfect accompaniment to a brisk winter day. Available from November to February.

Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of caramel and dark fruit. Tastes vegetal and spicy with a sweet finish.

Malty, clear caramel aroma with some spice in it. Overall, a very good seasonal ale. The beer never goes skunky if you live in Vermont.

Malty, sweet caramel aroma. Clear amber-brown with low, off-white head that diminishes to ring. Liquorice and roasted malts with some notes of butter, peat and spices. Medium-light body with low carbonation. Bottle. Entered from notes.

Murky brown with a quickly diminishing head. Nice malty aroma. Taste is like soggy cardboard with a bit of bitterness. Nice peat, roasted flavors add to it. Black licorice, coffee and spices blend in nicely.

12 oz bottle, brown color, decent size head that quickly disappears, malty bready aroma, spicy malty and light smokey flavors, medium body, has a nice creamy mouthfeel, some dryness in the finish, something is a little off but still a decent winter brew.
