| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 21, 2008 Not a very vivid beer and it lacks a little balance. Amberish color, nutty and malty notes with coffee bean, and a bitter finish. blipp (1672), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear amber with an off white head. Malty aroma with notes of caramel and nuts. Medium body. Flavor is sweet caramel malt and bitter floral hops. Maybe even a hint of fruit. Is this really an alt? I guess it’s close. O well, it was pretty good whatever it was. Mildly biscuity nose with some yeasty esters as well. Nose also reminds me of wet stone. Some spice and sweetness, with a bit of hop balance. Nothing special here, but drinkable. agillespie81 (199), Denver, Colorado, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Heh, not an alt bier. I’ve had a few (granted not rated yet), but this doesn’t, at least, excite per taste. Out of the four Otter Creek beers I’ve had so far, it was the least exciting and most bland. A bit of malt, a little creaminess on the tongue, but nothing distinguishing for actual taste. No hop character, and very little wheat. (Bottle Pour 1/27/2008)
