The malt tastes a bit funky and spoiled, and there is a strong metallic taste pleasant, and not a pleasant one. A bit of hops but the hops are not good. Slight sourness. Overall, this beer is bland and has a number of strongly objectionable qualities. In my opinion, it’s on par with miller lite and other similar brews. It’s undoubtedly the worst brew to come from Otter Creek. emerica56 (581), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 9, 2007 This beer pours out a golden amber color with nice laceing and good head retention. It has a strong woody smell with earth tones. There are some nice earth flavors like wood and roasted malt and hints of toffee. The taste fades rather quickly so there is not much of a flavor on the palate. morrdt (608), Jacksonville, Florida, USA

Pours a nice copper amber color with little head. Nice malt aroma and taste is clean with a slight edge of hops. Not bad. sneezey (110), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA

Nice malt without being too heavy or too watered down giving it that nice reddish hue. The taste it true and clean with just a touch of the hops. Well balanced. nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 2, 2007 355 ml, bottled 05/29/07. Clear shiny copper-burnt orange with a medium and lasting head that leaves a crunchy lace. Nice malt aroma with rich caramel and light-toasted nut. Flavor is rich nut, some complex earthy and woody flavors that come from the great balance of sweet malt and bitter hops. Extremely smooth and almost medium-bodied with a just-right drying finish of the big malt flavors. This one is way underrated. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

The taste is a tad lower that the standard amber ale excellence. Still, I could drink more of these if offered. nick76 (2657), Tampa, Florida, USA
