Thin white head, light amber hue. Robust, nutty, caramel malt structure. Acidic and bitter in the finish, long and lingering. Nothing special..Good not great...

Just OK, fizzy from the bottle and thin on taste. Some off notes and except for the color and fair head, not much.

The beer pour a brilliant clear amber with a pillowy white head. The nose is hoppy and spicy, with just a hint of caramel. It has a balanced taste of toasted and caramel malts with a leading edge of hop bitterness. The carbonation is enough to keep the beer alive in your mouth without being fizzy and it finishes smooth with a touch of bracing bitterness. Wonderful beer to enjoy from supper to bed.

Has the mouthfeel of a red wine. Wasn’t too bad otherwise, but I can’t get over the wine.

bottle : 09-08-28 :Deep amber, no head at all. Aroma : low level of caramel, small hop presence. Flavor : small fruits, caramel, nuts, roast. low level of bitterness, med body, low carbonation. Easy drinking beer, I’ve seen better alt.

12oz bottle from Hannaford. Pours an amber body with a thin film of off-white head. Caramel characterizes the aroma, though it’s really slight. Rich caramel dominates the flavor, with some chocolate and fruit notes. Medium in body and carbonation. An easy drinker, flavorful enough. Not my favorite of the style... Reasonably decent though.

Copper color in the pour is more amber than copper, at least in this thick glassed stein. Color leads me to anticipate a medium to full bodied ale that is full in flavor but alas, it is very light in body and light in taste. So, appearance somewhat betrays the character of the beer. Dallops of lace retain well on top of the beer and never seem to leave the rims of my glass. Very pleasing appearance overall, however it’s just not a typical match for the beer’s other characteristics. Bottle label boasts the use of six malts, but initially on the palate the malt takes a backseat to steal-y hops, and the light body surprises you. Very watery. Disappointing. Where’s the malt? Bottling date on the bottle is appreciated. I hate buying mystery beer. Otter Creek has a few offerings that I love but I’m disappointed in this one. Served blind to me I mistook this for the product of a macro brewery who illegitimately tried to create a beer for the "micro" crowd... but failed. (i.e. amber bock, blue moon, etc.) I’ll be serving these to the wife.
