Poured a clear copper brown color with a milky looking head. Metallic, malty, slightly sugary aroma. Not very hoppy. The finish is clean and surprisingly roasted. Almost tastes like this beer was brewed from Honey Smacks cereal. The finish really helps the flavor and this beer as a whole. Better beers from this brewery but this beer is origional and refreshing.

This was my first Otter Creek beer. The head formed nicely with lacing down the glass. The amber color was also inviting. The medium bodied beer was a well balanced blend of maltiness and some hops flavors. It is a good everyday drink with a smooth finish. This beer marked my 250th . I purchased it for my 400th not realizing that it was my 250th. The appearance of this ale is one of the best.

Bottle. I renounced Otter Creek / Wolaver’s as a legitimate brewery some time ago but was talked into trying Copper Ale by the new guy at Mt. Washington beer stand. I now officially re-renounce Otter Creek because this beer sucked along with the other 4 piss beers I’ve had from their wacked-out brewery. I’m not even going to describe this beer. Additionally, I am calling for everyone that frequents this website to place an official boycott on Otter Creek.

Fairly light tasting altbier, the aroma is mild with light chocolaty scents. The appearance is an amber with a light head. Flavor hits with mild fairly bland tastes of toasty and light astringent flavors. The finish is medium lasting. There are better options.

bottle. Pours a clear amber/gold with a frothy, tall white head. Aroma is mildly sweet with some dusty and yeasty notes. This is starting out a little better than the Altbier I had yesterday. The body hints at chocolate with a dry, papery finish. It’s bittersweet with some sappy notes noticed, though overall it’s pretty thin. This is missing any bad or off-flavors, it just needs a little more character. Great for a session beer, reminds me more of an American amber.

This is the worst I’ve ever had. Absolutely overpowering stench of a smell. The taste was anything but well-balanced and mild bitterness. I don’t know if it was just a bad batch, but it was still fresh according to the date.

Pours a golden copper color with a slight head. Malt and fruit aroma. Flavor was balanced malts and hops, leaving a mildly dry bitterness on the tongue. Easy drinking beer that has a little bite to it. Seemed more like an amber ale or a mild American pale ale.

Bottle: Spicey, tabacco taste, traces of a stout. Altbier? I have my serious doubts.
