Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bronze color with a large tan head. The aroma is tangy and musty with a vaguely skunky element. The flavor is sour and tangy but otherwise fairly nondescript. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

Sweet, lightly nutty aroma. Flavour is sweet and lightly malty with a touch of apple fruitiness. Lingering sweet bready malts, light toast. Earthy hop flavour with moderate bitterness. Pretty tasty brew. walter (359), Staunton, Virginia, USA

This was the first one I tried, and I was impressed. I’m unfamiliar with the altbier style. It doesn’t seem like one that is very common (particularly among microbreweries in the U.S.) Anyway, it’s caused me to want to try more altbiers in the future. kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA

Pours a copper color, indeed. Medium carbonation. Decent malt, nice bitter finish. Overall, not too bad.
