Aroma is hops, malt, caramel. Taste is initially creamy malt. Following is a slightly edgy, bitter hop which is nice. Although the bitterness carries too long in the aftertaste too. Medium body. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 8, 2006 Bottle-Amber colored w/almost no head. Hopped, nutty aroma. Some hops up front, Long, malty, metalic, dry finish. Tastes kind of coppery. Not bad, nothing special. Middle of the road brew, I’d drink it, proably wouldn’t buy it again. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 8, 2006 Bottle (12oz). Poured slightly hazy orange-amber with a good-sized creamy-foamy lasting off-white head. There’s some light roast malt and very stale hops in this, but mostly really funky-sour-stale grain, fairly unpleasant. Flavour isn’t as bad, but it’s still vaguely funky-skunky, with sour orange juice, stale but very bitter hops, rather unpleasant grain. Mouthfeel is bitter, flat and almost minerally and/or metallic. This is not a very nice brew. jb (1063), Rochester, New York, USA
