Bottle. Bottled on 01/31/05, Batch #1676. Off-white small head with fine-medium sized bubbles, poor lacing, carbonated, transparent, and an orange hue. Malty, caramel and hoppy aroma. Flavor was malty, caramel, hoppy and dry. Mouthfeel was tingly and dry. Light-medium body.

Out of a bottle. Aroma of hops and malts. Poured a copper-amber color white hezd that settled quick. Flavor was mainly hoppy with some sweet malt notes. Palate was light and even. Overall good but nothing spectacular. Not a bad standby.

Tasting@Jungle Jim’s: Bright amber color with a light brown head. Floral hop aroma. Flavor is sweet and grainy finishing lightly dry with just a hint of bitterness. Smooth creamy palate.

Light amber color with a white head sitting atop. The CO2 rises quickly and aggressively from the bottom of the glass. Ver nice toasty, grainy malt aroma, light caramel, and perfumy, sweet hops underneath. Intense, grainy malt with caramel balancing out any possible overly-toasty character with a balancing, slightly winy dryness and light bitterness. Body is medium and slighly creamy. Overall, a nice interpretation of an alt beer...nice toasty, frainy, German malt character with a beautiful touch of dark fruit, and sweet, perfumy hops in the background.

Aptly named. Coopery & metalic in taste. Medium to thin body and mouthfeel. Somewhat bitter. Overall not much to highlight. A rather kind and uninspiring C+ altbier.
