There was a small off-white head that left little lacing. Aroma is only average, but distincly of roasted malt. This is a well-carbonated, medium bodied ale, that improve as it approaches 48-50F--do not serve too cold. Initial palate is lightly malty sweet with hints of hazelnut; it finishes dry with well-balanced hops and little aftertaste. jon112981 (327), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 14, 2005 Dark amber with a good white head. Caramel malt aromas are mixed with hoppy scents of citrus and pine. Flavors of caramel, vanilla and honey seemed apparent, but a hop bite was definitely there. The finish was sligtly sour and bitter. xetnauq (13), USA

A thin, tangy, heavily carbonated ale, "palate" score isn’t very good, could’ve been a little thicker. Cornfield (4940), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

It’s a decent, copper toned, tan headed, roasted malt flavored brew that has a nice biting hop bitterness in the finish. I like it. I was just thinking that a more monumental brew would come about for my enjoyment at this particular point in time. Oh well. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 20, 2004 Appearance: average amber hue, with a good helping of creamy froth atop.
Aroma repeats the "creamy" theme, smooth, slightly nutty, soft and pleasant.
Taste: full of it, with a brief cameo by hops at the front, then it’s all malty sweetness, well-rounded, well-balance. Good flavor, nice texture, with a tasty finish.
An excelent example of an everday, no-frills, perfectly companionable ale. Lubiere (4528), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Nice fresh malt aroma. Good crisp malt with biscuity note. Very light bodied. Some faint hops in finish. hershiser2 (914), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 4, 2004 Paid $1.49 for a 12-oz single. No kidding, just as the name says, this beer is copper... small white head. Armoa contains some apple scents in it’s maltiness. Taste is deeply malty, kinda funky. Ehh, nothing to tell someone else about.
