Smelt quite nutty, but there was an overwhelming smell of pee. Stale nutty caramel flavours, really dissapointing. spkldhenlvr24 (465), Newburgh/Buffalo, New York, USA

The flavor was actually really good. I’m not really sure what an Altbier quite is but I really liked it. NJBeerman013 (782), Trenton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 12, 2004 Very malty, slight bite. A well balanced composition. Very smooth. My draft had little to no head. Would have made for a little better feel. sloth (1678), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 1, 2004 Poured nearly flat, surprisingly though a little stringy lace hanging around. Clear copper/amber color. Malty, biscuity nose. Medium body. Dry malty flavors, toasty with a crisp dry finish. VTHopHead (924), Barre, Vermont, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2004 Copper/red color, of course. Nice head. Hop flavor and bitterness are pleasing, but not overwhelming. A drinkable beer. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 16, 2004 Semi-transparent copper/orange color ale with a thick, foamy, white head. Smells very enticing. Reminds me of sweet oranges (as opposed to the sour ones). Citrusy hop flavor. More floral in the finish but also a little metallic. Not an overwhelming amount of malts. Easy to drink session beer from the state that brews more session beers than anyone else. sfontain (506), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 30, 2004 Batch #1501, bottled 3/01/2004. Well, this will probably knock you out, but this is copper-colored. Thin white head. For the first 30 seconds after pouring there was a huge floral aroma but it subsided into just mildly sweet and flowery. Fairly sweet and malty taste with mild hop bitterness at the end. Yet again for OC, this is drinkable but not super. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA
