Pours with a slightly hazed copper body and a rocky, off-white head that leaves decent lace. Aroma is metallic and bready with some honey, spice and hop bitterness. Taste is bitter up front with some spiced bread dough and a metallic finish. Lively carbonation and a dryish finish. brewski519 (424), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Copper color pour with a medium white head. Aroma of floral hops, malt and caramel. Weak taste of malt and toffee.. a bit on the watery side but certainly goes down easy. Okay brew - not the best but certainly not the worst I have had. mouse725 (74), Albany, New York, USA

I’m pretty sure that pennies are used in the brewing process (jk). BIG copper flavour finishes with some nutty malty flavours and lingering metal. Yet, somehow, I can’t say I wouldn’t drink it again- in very small doses. Certainly is a unique brew! patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 28, 2009 bottle - Pours copper with a medium sized head. The aroma is kind of fruity with a touch of caramel malt. The flavor is sweet and lightly roasted malt with some unfortunate sourness that has me wondering if there’s a little infection here. It smells better than it tastes. linc33 (177), Albany, New York, USA
