dark yellow, thin head, good lace, light floral hop aroma, nice malt flavor followed by a lasting bitterness, a little bit of tart cardboard character, sigh

(12oz bottle) Clear amber body with small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, quite fruity (berry). Taste is medium sweet, nutty, lagery bitter. Light-medium body.

Initial smell reminded me of a sweaty jock strap (not that I would know what one smells like). Plain and bland tasting. Their web site says this is their year ’round flagship brew - based on this one, I’m not looking forward to tasting any others by them. Could I have gotten a bad bottle or could it have been the Dogfish 90 minute IPA & Victory Storm King Imperial Stout I had before tasting this one - may have had an influence on taste, but could barely finish it.

Copper orange with a light tan thick head. Thin malty aroma. Body is reminiscent of an American standard micro. Bland, bitter and boring.

Rating #800... Slightly hazy, copper-colored ale. Medium-sized, creamy, khaki head. Very good retention and nice, thick lacework. The nose is of vanilla, milk chocolate, toffee and a whisper of evergreen. Malty and beefy flavor with a really nice hop balance. A touch earthy as well. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and light carbonation. Astringent finish.

Bottle. An altbier? this was somewhere in the realms of the Alaskan Amber. i.e, a pile of crap. Smelt quite nutty, but there was an overwhelming smell of pee. Stale nutty caramel flavours, really dissapointing.
