Commercial Description:
Cuckoo Bock, Otter Creek's seventh stop on the "OTTER CREEK WORLD TOUR" is inspired by the German Mai Bocks. This time the Otter is back in Germany, with a traditional German beer, Mai Bock. Brewmaster Steve Parkes procured Vienna malt, pilsener malt, two types of Munich malts, and hops and yeast all the way from Germany, in an effort to make this beer as authentic as possible. The Otter Creek version will be light and slightly sweet, with a fresh aroma. Don't let this fool you, however. Mai Bocks are strong beers and this one won't be any different. As it says on the label- "Now you can have your own German Mai Fest- prosit!"

Clear amber color. Aroma consists malt, with honey, hops, and a little citrus in the undertones. Taste is mostly of malts. There are a little bit of hops and citrus in the back end. Has a nice and smooth aftertaste. Not too bad of a brew. I’d consider this more of a session beer.

Pours a slightly hazy golden with off white head. Aroma of malt, hop, dark fruit, yeast caramel. Similar taste. Medium bodied.

Hazy orange, foamy white head fades. Aroma is honey, strawberry and other sweet berries. Taste is honey and berries again with some roast. Pretty sweet, wouldn’t drink a ton but not bad.

Bomber from Barrios’ Massechussetts Trip Tasting. Sweet honey aroma and flavor. Good for the style, but I just don’t like this style I think.

Golden-amber. Malty-caramel nose with notes reminiscent of glossette raisins. Caramel taste, some bready notes. Hop dryness towards the finish. Thin body. Lacks focus.

Bright golden copper with slight haze. Good white head that lasts. Rusty, chalky. Some fruit, some sweet cereal. Oily mouthfeel. Sweet metallic. Sulfuric, strange and strong. Not bad, not good.
