| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Clear, golden brown. Some lacing, but not much head. Aromas of crystal malt and some perfume of hops. A medium hop bite, malty, then bittering on the finish. Light bodied and clean. A little soapy. No complaints for an easy-drinking ESB, but lacks the depth and complexity of the powerhouses in this category. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 14, 2007 Draught. Copper color with an off-white frothy head. Caramel and citrus hop aroma not much different from an APA. Standard and familiar caramel malt-citrusy hop flavors, with maybe a touch of toasted dark bread in the background. Medium-full bodied with substantial carbonation. OK, but nothing to seek out. Miguel (1181), Saint-Ours, Quebec, Canada

Picked this up in Montgomery, VT, where the store is getting to be very interesting in terms of its beer offering. Blackbarrel (116), new york, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2006 Amber with a thick and short lasting tan head. Some lace but not a lot. Smells like grain, currant, caramel. Flavory is a little watery but I did the currant and caramel. Certainly an above average beer. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

Copper color, light head, lots of lacing. Nose of light sweet dusty hops, light caramel. The flavor is toasty, medium bodied and caramelly. Decent finish. I can dig it.
