Has a lightly sweet, toasty maltiness with hints of floral juniper. Body starts fairly full and sweet with a touch of spicy rye and juniper along with a touch of bready yeast. Very true to style and one of the better Otter Creek beers I’ve had. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 30, 2007 Updated: Jul 4, 200722oz bottle. Clear solid golden colored body with a nicely growing white head. Pleasent biscuit and summer wheat and yeast nose, fresh and lively, smells of a dry summer afternoon... but I was drinking this while lying in the grass outside... still, tastes crisp and fresh, husky and startchy, lightly sweet. Great beer. Much better than expected, but of course your impressions are affected by your surroundings. Nonetheless I’ll give this one a high score because I really enjoyed it. Pours a light amber color with a decent head. Nose is, geez, I’m not sure. Let me taste this thing. I can’t pick up any rye and definately no juniper. There is a little spice action and very slight bitterness, but this is rather smooth. I can’t say this had the flavors I was anticpating, but it was quite pleasant although nothing incredible. Another solid brew from Otter Creek. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 16, 2007 This is the first twist off bomber I’ve ever noticed. I didn’t know they existed. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of lemons, sweet malt, and some dough. Taste is sweet and tangy initially with some touches of vanilla, oranges and an underlying nuttiness that becomes quite pronounced as the beer warms. Mouthfeel is average with a nutty finish. Not bad. jcwattsrugger (5443), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
