| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 4, 2006 On draft at RFD. Clear golden color with minimal head. Citrus, spice, and fruit notes. Not very overpowering though. Boring taste. Definitely a weak tripel. I expect taste and alcohol with a tripel and this tasted like a watered down fruit beer. Not that good. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 3, 2006 Golden with a foamy white head. Smell had hints of cloves, lemon, spice, banana and apple. Taste had some hints of white wine along with what I mentioned in the aroma. Pleasant but boring and lacking in complexity for a Tripel. Palate was just average and lacked the white wine sensation that I like in Tripels. Overall a descent beer but lacking for the style. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 19, 2006 Pours cloudy gold with a one-finger white head that disappears quickly. Musty aroma with some peach, apple juice, hay, and earthy hops. The thin flavor seems to consist mostly of fruit and alcohol, neither of which are there to any large extent. A sweet maltiness creeps in towards the middle. The finish is surprisingly hoppy--or maybe it just seems that way because the rest of the beer was so lacking. Either way, this is probably the worst Tripel I’ve had. Hey, at least it’s cheap! (Funny, everyone mentions the cost in an Allagash review, but no one lauds Otter Creek for selling a $3.25 bomber.) rudolf (1773), Buffalo, New York, USA
