(draft) Creamy white head atop a cloudy lemon yellow body. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, clove, some wheat, cream, light orange. Taste is medium sweet, clove, lemon, light bubblegum, cream, seltzer. Light-medium body with some cream, some watery. As my description suggests, this tasted much more like a Wit than a Tripel.

****Re-rate*** Bottle... Mostly clear yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The nose is a yeasty, fruity blend of red apple and bread dough. Almost no spicy phenols. Sweet, breadsy, alcoholic flavor. No bitterness; no semblance of balance. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Sweet, breadsy finish. I enjoyed it much more from the bottle. ***Original Rating***2.6*** Draft... Hazy, straw-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Terrific retention. Fruity, breadsy aroma with notes of orange, coriander, grain and dough. The flavor is balanced nicely, but very thin with hints of tangy, fruity esters. Light to medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Crisp, clean finish. Not really brewed to style... more like a wit than a tripel. What Argo0 said.

Pours a clear bright golden with thin ring of wispy white head. Slightly sweet buttery caramel malt and dry noble hoppy aroma. Body starts with a slightly sweet, fairly full biscuity maltiness with a bigger noble hoppy bitterness that dries out the finish. This really needs a more authentic Belgian yeasty profile and less bitterness for balance. They need to review their style guidelines. Even excepting the lack of adherance to style guidelines, this is not a very good beer.

Draught@The Brickskeller, Washington DC. Meant to be an tripel, but ended up tasting more like a witbier. Quite soapy/clovey, with some banana esters coming through, quite sweet.
