Basic golden color with a fairly small white head. Doesn’t really look Belgian. Aroma is pleasant with hints of banana and a mild hint of orange peel. I actually enjoyed the thicker syrupy mouthfeel and found an adequate amount of tropical fruity flavors and hints of alcohol to convince me that this was to style. Solid stuff. beerbill (1984), Laurel, New York, USA

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a thinl white head that disappeared after a few sips. Pleasnt aroma with hints of banana and apricots. I also got bananas and apricots in the flavor. Mouthfeel was a bit thick, which I rather liked in this beer. I am not so sure this beer is true to its style as a Belgian Tripel Ale, but I enjoyed it for what it was and would gladly have another! This beer pours to a hazy, yellow color, with a soapy, white head that fades, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is spicy, with some funky/spicy yeast aroma, and some grainy pale malt aromas. The palate is lean, with some pale malt sweetness paired with spicy/yeasty notes, as well as some sweet candy sugar flavor. This beer finishes with more pale malt and candy sugar up front, then ends with some spicy yeast and peppery alcohol that lingers. A decent domestic example of triple, this one could have been a bit more polished. I like the fact Otter Creek took a stab at the style, and stylistically, while this beer isn’t quite up to par with the Belgians, it is a good effort, and a tasty beer. Would make a nice digestif, and would work well with a number of dishes. A nice beer to sip and relax with as well. guzzler67 (1289), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2006 Amber/gold appearance with a small, off white head and scant lacing. Yeasty aroma, some fruit, with a hint of mint buried in the back. Taste was sweet, but not cloying, some earthiness and a mild spicyness. Mouthfeel was medium-bodied with average carbonation. ABV (although not listed) seems in line with this style (I could feel it after a bomber), and lead to a sweet, lingering finish. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2008 bomber poured into a trappist glass is a light golden in color with a nice initial carbination fading off quickly leaving a light layer of white foam on the surface. aroma has a sweet nose, grain, pear, yeast, clove, and nutmeg. mouth feel is on the light side but does have a frothy thickness, some spice bite wrapped up with yeast flavors, moves to finish with grain and some alcohol bite. definitely has plenty of sweetness and became more cloying as it warmed up a bit. so not really in line for style. lacking the malt profile and very little hops, finish is sweet and not dry. good news is it is not a total flop and i give credit they can put this together for 3$ or so a bomber. freekyp (906), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 3, 2007 Ott6er Creek takes a stab at a very ambitious style and does a style-true rendition...mostly. Fruity and malty at the same time, the beer’s sweetness recedes quickly in a clean finish. While it was missing some of the Belgian candy sugar character, it made up for it with a nice spicy presence. An easy drinking tripel. Who would have thought.
