Commercial Description:
The Otter Creek flows through our hometown of Middlebury. Elderberries grow wild on its banks, providing the inspiration to flavor this refreshing Summer ale with hints of elderberries and blueberries. Enjoy!

Poured a light and clear (see through) golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of fresh baked blueberry muffins. Tastes of lighter blueberries and some malt. Thinner body with lively carbonation.

Bought this 12 oz bottle at Whole Foods in Vienna, VA. Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Nice blueberry aroma. Kind of malty. Smooth taste. Berries and malty...but kind of watered down as well. Not too bad of a beer, but could be better.

12oz bottle. I did not like this beer very much. It pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Awful fake blueberry aroma that reminded me of those terrible Jiffy Muffins. Sweet flavor of blueberry and malt.

Bottle. Pale golden orange color with minimal head. The aroma gives one the impression that this might be a perfect beer to complement some blueberry waffles with maple syrup. Along with the obvious berries the aroma has lemon cake, frosting, pine sol, and bubble gum. The flavor has more of the same, and on occassional sips works well, but at other times there is a harsh almost metallic finish. Thin bodied as well. Like some other berry beers, brings lots of berry but little beer.

This one took me by surprise. Smells like bluberry pie, right out of the oven. Berry also quite evident in the aftertaste. Tastes a lot like a wheat, although more bitter. A unique choice for the summer.

bottle, Andy’s. Amazing aroma upon opening, smells like blue and middle(?) berries. Poured light golden with a huge frothy foamy head. Aroma is even stronger now. The taste is a mish mash of malts and blue and middle berries?. Nothing great, but a pleasant refreshing summer. As I drink this, the berries sit in the nose and linger a while longer.

The aroma had big elderberries and slight blueberries, and a slight maltiness. THe flavor had elderberries, blueberries, slight maltiness, and a slight vinious note. The beer poured a light yellow w/ thin lasting head and lacing. The mouthfeel was light and carbonated.
