Commercial Description:
The Otter Creek flows through our hometown of Middlebury. Elderberries grow wild on its banks, providing the inspiration to flavor this refreshing Summer ale with hints of elderberries and blueberries. Enjoy!

Got this as a suprise when I picked a six pack of Copper Ale. Whe I got home I hadn’t realized that someone (not me) had mad it a three pack of Copper ale and a three pack of middleberry ale. Only if it was something better. Decent enough smell that you can’t wait to drink. It all goes downhill from ther as it is a crisp taste but not of berrys but citrus and a horrid after taste.

Bottle, from Julio’s. Bottled 6/30/04. Good nose, Berries mainly, surprise. Faded as it warmed. Clear golden yellow color. No head. Bitter sweet flavors. Touch of lemon/metallic. Some berry. Though it is less than the nose would lead you to believe. Thin body. Get a Bit of blueberry syrup in the mouthfeel. Little bitter on the finish. Ok beer, very drinkable. Goes down easy, but middle of the road at best

This brew pours with a crystal clear, pale yellow body topped by a huge white head with some lacing. The aroma is sweet and full of berries, with a slight sour/tart note. The flavor is slightly sweet yet slightly bitter with a note of berries. Not all that great. Light bodied, smooth and slightly dry.

Pours gold. Aroma of malt, hops, blueberries, elderberries. Tastes of the above berries, with malt and some hops at the finish. Refreshing, with a natural berry flavor.

I’m a fan of fruit flavored beers - and not afraid to admit it. This was pretty good. I was afraid that the berry flavor would be overpowering, but it wasn’t. Different, yet good.

Gold, no head. Big blueberry aroma as soon as the bottle is opened. Berry flavor too, but more restrained than the aroma. hints of lemon and grainy flavors. dryish finish.

Light hoppy aroma, subtle berry notes. Clear pale gold with no head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with hoppy character, light sweetness, and some blueberry flavor. Finish is berry and bitter, with light sweetness.
