The first taste is weird as there is little carbonation or other taste on the nose. The hops finish off nicely. This is a weird brew, but I guess this is how they hack it up in Vermont. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 5, 2006 Pours translucent orange with minimal carbonation and head. Very malty aroma with notes of fig. Definitely not an overpowering oktoberfest. Finishes sweet and a bit syrupy, but an otherwise light and crisp beer for the style. Braudog (3770), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Nov 30, 2006 Poured amber, quietly still and with virtually no head. The aroma reminds me of apple jelly. Very hoppy, but in an odd way. Almost a tea-based flavor, like unsweetened brewed tea. Odd. SledgeJr (2963), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Pours light amber to dark gold with a poofy off white head. Has a delightful caramel malt nose. Toasted malt flavor at mid palate, but finishes weak and mild. A bit too thin with an odd metallic finish. Presents a nice festive lacing, however. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 13, 2006 Bottle. Orange colored pour. No head. Smell = malt, hops. Taste = malt hops. bland, not exciting, tastes like beer. Pretty sad effort really. I put as much effort into this review as they did making the beer. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 13, 2006 A very basic run of the mill brew with
very slight notes of caramel and sweet malts. Kind of a drain pour for me. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA

Very much to style, but very much boring.
