If anyone is looking for a standard nothing special at all typical example of an oktoberfest/marzen, may I reccomend Otter Creek Oktoberfest. Very much to style, but very much boring.

Bottle. Floral aroma and flavor that is unappealing. Some oatmeal? Maybe cinnamon? Weird and distasteful. Worst Oktoberfest I’ve had. Drain pour

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of floral hops, sweet malts, cinnamon oatmeal, and brown sugar. Poured copper in color with a small, rocky, tan head that diminished quickly. No lacing. Cloudy. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is malty and a little sweet. Also notes of bacteria. Kinda gross. Not bitter at all. Thin. Bad malty finish. Soft carbonation. More or less a drain pour.

Jan. 23rd 2008 re-rate
Light tea and toffee aroma. The body is a dull orange and holds a lifeless white head. Metallic fore, tea, malt, toasted grains and veggies. Pretty much as I remembered. Sort of a slap in the face to the style/
Original rating was a 3
Courtesy of kenb. Stale caramel malt aroma. Some muted stewed fruit/vegetable notes. Has a dark orange/brown color with a thin, foamy tan head. Vegetal notes in the fore followed by lightly sweet malt and some mild toasty notes. Finish is dry and crisp.

Bottle. Pours copper color with a medium head. Aromas of malts and hops. The flavor is a bit off, a touch too bitter and not enough malt or caramel flavors. I remember it to be better. The mouthfeel also leaves to be desired, it is too thin.
