Flavor is less sweet and more bitter than most beers of this style, like a mix of an oktoberfest with an ale. I liked it tho - has a nice feel and finish to it. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Bottle (12oz). Murky deep orange with a small off=white diminishing head. Aroma is slightly sour sweet malt, a bit herbal. Taste is somewhat grainy sweet orange juice malt, it finishes a little bitter, like walnut shell. Mouthfeel average body and a bit fizzy. Not bad, but nothing special, pretty lame "octoberfest" offering, more like a wan APA. FROTHINGSLOSH (2025), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a caramel color with a small light tan head. The aroma is light but sweet and malty. The flavor is light malts with a hint of nut. Not a whole lot of flavor to this one. Parrothead (185), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Dark orange body with a frothy whote head. Lots of lacing. Teh aroma is caramel and some fall leaves. There are also some notes of nice earthy dirt. The taste has some dry leaves and a little note of hay. There is also old caramel. The mouthfeel is thin and refreshing. This is a decent Oktoberfest that would benefit from a little more body. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 16, 2005 Clear copper with a small off-white head. Caramel, noble hops and bread in the nose. Starts off nice with notes of toasted malt, caramel, grassy hops and then it just takes a nosedive and fades into watery tastelessness. Needs more malty sweetness and just more plain ol’ flavor in general. Medium body, smooth texture and lively carbonation. Some lacing left on the glass, decent head retention. Overall, forgettable. kman1215 (2), USA does not count | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 2, 2005 Less than average beer. Not a good represantation of an Oktoberfest, closer to their title of "Autumn Ale". iratherbe (255), Marlton, New Jersey, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 2, 2005 Hmm ... plain, maybe under average. Small fair head, light amber brown copper color, slight malt flavor, albeit initial decent taste & nose. Then overall dominated by a metallic & musty oaky content with some hoppiness in the after taste that leads to a lingering dour sour.
