Commercial Description:
Brewed with Hallertau and Tettnang hops to balance its clean, malty sweetness, it's the perfect brew for a crisp Autumn day. Available from September to November.

On tap. Spicey malt nose, golden amber? Small custard head. Flavour starts off a pleasant dusty, malt, followed by crusty bread. Medium bodied, nice mouthfeel, mildly sweet. Fine.

Unfortunately thin bodied, and overall lacking in taste. Missing the firm maltiness I expected, instead found it more hoppy than anything. Really a bizarre entry into the style.

Bottle from Lou18. Pours a crystal clear, medium-amber color with a touch of copper thrown in. Really nice off-white head leaves good lacing. Aroma is a bit funky, perhaps stale. Sweet malt is present and then something dark and foreboding, funky and stale?? Lighter side of medium bodied. Taste is a lesson in German punishment. Malty for sure and then a tonic water-like flavor that seems to dominate. Really a rather tragic brewing accident. Not pleasant.

A disappointing marzen altogether. Very non-descript aroma, very light hay-like color with no head. Somewhat boring and light, with an uncomfortable bitterness. Disappointing.

Freshly plucked at Cable Beverages in Suffern, New York. Nice copper colour, very little head. Nothing in aroma, only some alcohol. Ok to drink, a bit of taste, average beer. Very thin, some refreshment, not much.Least liked by moi of the brewery’s products.

Bottle. Copper and clear with a decent head and adequate lacing. Not much in the way of aroma. Some malts, some caramel and a little bit o hops. A slight nuttiness too. Mouthfeel is watery and thin. Flavor is also rather light, but it gets better toward the end of the bottle. At first it’s dry and ... well, that’s about it. Toward the end, it’s more hoppy and sweet. Not too bad at that point. All in all, there are better Oktoberfests out there.

Bottle. Fairly typical Oktoberfest, nothing too out-of-the-ordinary. First beer I’ve had from this brewery. Pretty thin, not a whole lot stands out about this one.

My first Octoberfest of the year was a disappointment. This beer was rather thin and watery, with a dry finish. Not much to the color or body, and the flavor was not what I expect from an Octoberfest. Overall, a bit below average.
