This beer was rather thin and watery, with a dry finish. Not much to the color or body, and the flavor was not what I expect from an Octoberfest. Overall, a bit below average. zach8270 (2140), Henrietta, New York, USA

Very weak aroma, but what I could smell was mainly malt. The taste was almost non-existent. Very thin and watery. Thankfully this wasn’t a full price beer. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA

It had a funky copper aroma lacking the courant and caramel I like so much in the style. Same went for the taste. It was just too watered down. I am usually a big fan of Otter Creek. This was dissapointing. cfranz (261), Acton, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 20, 2005 First Octoberfest of the season (bottled on July 27th). Small white head, colour a nice amber. Malty and lightly hopped. It’s a decent beer, but not my favorite of the style. Dixen (1465), Flagstaff, Arizona, USA

However, all these great characters get destroyed because of some notes in the flavour that are similar to BBQ sauce. Too bad, it could have been a good beer. Ungstrup (15441), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 14, 2005 An amber beer with a nice though disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and hops, leading to a dry end. The body is thin. There is something weird about this beer, that I can’t put down in words, but draws my impression down.
