Nice, balanced flavor, not much aroma, and decent amber coloring. I’d buy it again. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 2, 2004 Golden color and a thin head. Aroma is very typical and expected. Crisp and clean taste that is very enjoyable in a cool october day. I rather enjoy this one. OldGrowth (1433), North Carolina, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 25, 2004 Bottle: This is definitely one of the not so good Oktoberfests I’ve tasted. That’s nice speak for it tasted like shit. Well not really, but it wasn’t good compared to the rest of the pack in this style. Tasted cheap, over carbonated, too light, and without character. Definitely skunked. Now, Otter Creek does not brew all bad beers, in fact I like some of them a good deal, but this one is not a winner. UNCCTF (465), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

This beer really isn’t horrible, but there’s a lot more hoppiness than I wanted at the time. If I’m ordering an Oktoberfest, I’m looking for malty and smooth and easy-drinking. This didn’t really hit the spot, though it had some decent qualities. HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 17, 2004 Middle of the road pale/amber ale. On the hoppy side. Not really worth seeking out. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 12, 2004 12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. Frickin’ twist off crown. Bottled on 8/16/04 Batch # 1590. Poured out a deep amber color, with a cheap, thin white head. The head didn’t even last long enough for me to finish pouring the beer into the glass. Nasty smell of rank yeast, probably that damn Ringwood strain. Hey guys at Otter Creek, Ringwood yeast has no place in an Octoberfest beer. Do a little research before you brew again. Smelled like stank ass, pure and simple. No discernable aromas other than what’s already been mentioned. Tastes like a piece of tin foil in my mouth. Metallic as hell. Nasty aftertaste. I wouldn’t drink this crap again if someone paid me. Not impressed at all. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Deep copper. Nose lightly malty. Good malty flavor, caramel and toffee, a bit sweet, decent hoppy bite at the end.
