Pours a hazy amber-brown with virtually no head. Smells fruity and malty, with a hint of hops. Tastes initially fruity and slightly hoppy, then has a caramel-toffee flavor. Medium to light in body with moderate carbonation. A fairly easy drinker, a decent American amber... KnN (744), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA

Fairly light yellow orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma was a bit malty. This beer was pretty fresh and had a nice crisp note to it. Pretty decent Marzen, but nothing to write home about. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Clear, amber orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Weird leaves graininess in the flavour with weird notes of toasted cardboard. Medium body. Fair.

Flavour is a touch oxidized with some stale notes over otherwise pleasant dry malt and toasty notes. Meh, allowing for the fact that it is likely a step better fresher its still pleasantly average. A hint of roast and spice with some mossy undertones. Not great. Tap: Still simple. Not any bad flavors but does still have this green lingering flavor. Rciesla (3750), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 5, 2009 I was at a wedding in Vermont and it was this or Coors Light (gag me) so I drank a metric shitload of this stuff. It’s not bad, but far from good. Golden-amber color with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt and muted hops, some earthiness. Typical Oktoberfest malt character and noticeable hops. Palate is a little watery. An easy choice if it’s this or Coors, but not such an easy choice if good (or even average) beers are available. bkurtz (276), Peru
