No really, that is what I am getting on the nose....even some cinnamon sprinkled on for good measure. A deep border of gala apples in the background, almost making up a shield to keep in the warm pie. Immediate cherries on the tongue quickly turning to a sour middle and fading to near nothing on the finish. This one ends at the nose I am afraid... yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA

With a price like that I wasnt expecting much, and so I wasnt disappointed. First clue was the twist-off cap. Aroma was clean malty-hoppy. Flavor was lightly sweet and grainy pale malt, then a mild herbal hoppiness comes on and quickly fades to a clean finish. Somewhat watery. You could drink a six or two in a session with no problem. Theres no mistaking this for a great beer, but the flavor was decent, and Ive spent more money for worse beer lots of times. I picked up 5 sixers and may go back for more. It has a very tart , almost undrinkable sour flavor. This beer reminds me a a home brew gone wrong! Don’t waste your money on this one. I hope the other brews from this brewer aren’t as bad. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 20, 2008 pours an average amber color, no head, no lacing. Good carbonation. Smells like old pungeant leaves and funky yeast. Taste is bitter malty and very very doughy. Palate is stagnant bitter, and finish won’t go away. It tastes liek fall, but a little funky, like fungus or very woody or something. VTHopHead (928), Barre, Vermont, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Bottle - Poured a darkish red-amber in color with a small white head that quickly faded to a thin rim around the glass. Aroma is a spicy mix of medium roasted malts and grassy hops. Flavor is initially pretty hoppy, but mellows to a nice mix of grainy malts. Odd bitter aftertaste. Easy drinking, but not that remarkable... rampmaster (322), Alden, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass
Appearance: It has a hazy appearance with a medium orange amber colored body. The head is just off white in color, small and fades quickly to a light ring of lace.
Smell: There is a mild aroma of sweet bready malt with an odd ginger like spice and earthy dried leafy hops.
Taste/Mouth feel: It has interesting malty character with some caramel roasted flavors mixed with buttery sour dough bread notes and dry yeast. Hop flavor is in good balance and adds leafy and mildly spicy hop flavors which quickly fade off in the finish. It has a smooth texture, average carbonation and a good medium body.
Notes: Overall it’s a solid Amber Ale/Oktoberfest beer.

Appearance: Clear amber ale with presentable, large creamy head. 3+ Nose: Light fresh green feel with slight spiced theme, sour touch finishing. Belgian ale like. Flavor/Palate : Slightly woody notes , sweet amber malt up front with sour feel at edges. Fruity finish with light earthy woody theme. Reminded me of Foliage like but Okto ?
