Slightly ruddy-copper color with a thin white layer of head. Moderate caramel aroma and not much else. Same goes for the taste. Just generally sweet - no real peat or spice to speak of, much less malt complexity. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

The aroma is rich and vinous with notes of caramel, toffee, port... everything malty and sweet. A touch of buttery diacetyl to boot. Sweet, malty, slightly vinous flavor. Chocolaty and hardly bittered... just enough. Full-bodied and oily with moderate carbonation.. Sweet-mocha finish. HogTownHarry (4026), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 27, 2007 Bottle (22oz). Clear chestnut pour, average fizzy-frothy tan head. The aroma reminded me of a solid, fruity fall beer - sweet oatmeal malt, cherry, woody herbal hops, nice bit of tartness to those hops, definitely sweet caramel with a hint of chocolate. The taste is woody sweet roast malt, cherry, even a hint of green olive, and noticeable alcohol, but not boozy. Sugary, fairly thick body, a long malty finish with enough tangy, herbal hops to keep it grounded. One of their best beers. Beerdedone (1888), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

In execution, this series has not been perfect, but this otter kilter was a solid scotch ale. Dark hazy brown. Very malty but balanced. kramer (2527), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2007 22 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark copper to ruby brown body under a small tight bubbled beige head that faded to a patchy film. The nose is sweetly malty with a heavier than expected toffee character. Very minimal hops, some light alcohol vapors and some burnt caramel. The flavor is heavily malty, but it’s kinda grainy and husky with a thinner than expected mouthfeel. A little nutty and coffee notes emerge on the finish. Not much complexity to the malt. The thinness makes for a rather short finish as well. Moderate soft fizzy carbonation. Overall, another miss for the World Tour as far as I’m concerned. This was too thin and I think that a better yeast would help out some.
