Sample at AleFest Columbus (06/27/09): Pours dark brownish-black with a thin light brown head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing. Light roasted malt and nuts in the nose. Medium, clean body with flavors of mild coffee, roasted malt and caramel. The finish is dry and roasty with a light coffee aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle shared at Butter’s Big Cellar Blowout. Pours a near black with wispy tan head and some lacing. Creamy milk chocolate and roast malt aroma is a little sweet and a little nutty. Very similar flavors. I’d say it was a sweet stout. Medium body and almost watery. Very cool name.

Bottle at Butters Big Cellar Blowout. Pours a somewhat thin beige head with a dark brown body. Smells of roasted malts and some coffee. Flavor is the same. Weak flavor and thin body. Slightly metallic finish. Overall points for concept and label.
